Ok so we aren't the best bloggers

So, I started this blog mainly because my friend Shelly did it (for reference she is my first Vegas friend) and I thought I'd join the crowd ... well as you can see, Steve and I aren't really great at this updating thing since the last post was in February ... so here is a quick run down of the last 5 months with a promise to update regularly.

We started a canine teeth brushing regimen. Fern is thrilled with this new daily routine and absolutely loves to show you her sparkly whites. We'd like to credit our vet, Dr. Jason, for this lovely new activity and the savings on dental care ... minus the increase on toothpaste and Fern's Disney Princess toothbrushes.

Pickles won a talent show with his new found love of the piano ... his melodies are exquisite and he sounds a bit like Elton John at his Ceasar's Red Piano show ... we are quite proud of him.

Steve broke his foot on Easter, right before my magnificent meal that people are still talking about ... bless his heart he was so pitiful. He was casted for 8 weeks .. aside from the whining there really wasn't much of a difference, he never really moved much anyway ;) Teasing, oh how I do love the African.

I left the pet industry ... who ever thought that would happen and went to work at a Marketing Communication Group here in Las Vegas. I adore it and even though PR for the financial services industry is just a smidge different than pet food, I enjoy every day and every challenge that is presented. http://www.advisorpr.com/ is the divison I am working with these days ... Check out Fiscal Fitness by Matt Rettick and Jack LaLanne - you'll love it.

Then came Etta Mae Jones ... her name was Feta upon arrival, but we felt that was a bit too cheesy (ha ha ha) ... Etta Mae Jones seems quite southernly appropriate ... she's old, has big hair... and is quite honestly a pissy bitch ... we love her though. Oh and she's demanding and DEAF. Etta Mae Jones was found running the streets, saved by some kind people and then came under the care of Senior Spaniel Rescue and is now in our care ... probably for a while, since she is a bit of handful.

We really aren't exciting people ... we play California Dreamin' Barbie Uno, cook on the grill, brush out dogs, watch ESPN or Wife Swap and just get through life. But we're happy.

Laura came and visited for the fourth bringing a bit of home and lots of fun. The dogs love when their Aunt Laura comes ... it's a doggie free for all ... woo hoo ... here are some of our Redneck Fourth of July pictures:

Coming soon ... information on my role of PRESIDENT of Las Vegas Cocker Rescue, the new Pathfinder, summer visitors and other fun ... also a tale of Beer Pong and Hawaiian Tropic girls ...

Ok so that is the best I can do for now ... there is more to come and I promise on a regular basis ... we will get more exciting for the cause of the blog ...
